 * Effective Strategies in Pain Management*             *Continuing Education for F4CP Members*

The Institute of Medicine has released the National Pain Strategy Guidelines for clinician training on pain management. The four domains of the national strategy focus on key aspects of pain and how it impacts a patientā€™s life. Understanding the biopsychosocial model of pain, care coordination and integrated care management from a step approach is discussed. Moving beyond active treatment for pain compels the clinician to focus on functional improvements and how to guide the patient to reach a maximum therapeutic gain. In addition, enhancing human performance to sustain and/or achieve future activity and functional goals brings the chronic pain patient into a new context of life.

Brought to you by the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress and Best Practices Academy and sponsored by NovoPulseĀ®, the Effective Strategies in Pain Management program is a 13-hour continuing course developed to provide pain management training for F4CP members. The course has been broken down into part 1 and part 2 with 7-hour and 6-hour CE options available. Continuing education credit provided by ChiroCredit.com.
