Sunday: Pain Management and Tissue Healing: From onset to resolution with laser therapy. Nelson
Marquina, DC, Ph.D. (4 hours)

Dr. Marquina provides scientific, safety, and video demonstrations to ensure high proficiency in the safe and effective use of therapeutic lasers for physical medicine practitioners. In this 4-hour program, you’ll learn the most effective methods for pain management, resolving inflammation, and increasing the speed, quality and strength of tissue repair. Lasers are powerful tools for pain management and tissue healing when used by, or under the supervision of, a trained practitioner with expertise in advanced treatment techniques. Dr. Marquina will extensively use materials from the chapter that he authored titled Energy Medicine: Focus on Lasers published in The Scientific Basis of Integrative Health, 3rd edition (CRC Press, 2017). This chapter provides the scientific basis for the clinical application of lasers, illuminating the capabilities of therapeutic laser light to be safely absorbed by human tissues and organs for pain management, improved physiological functions and cellular regeneration.
