What is FAKTR-PM?

This program takes your soft tissue treatment to the next level. The new, innovative technique is now being taught to all those interested in utilizing instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization or enhancing their current mode of instrument or manual technique. FAKTR-PM is a novel and highly effective approach.

FAKTR-PM teaches one how to place patients into positions during treatment that increase the tensioning of the myofascial system across areas of dysfunction. This positioning greatly accelerates the ability to address the problem and symptom area to quickly and significantly improve the patient…Very quick & effective on athletes and the general patient population!

There are many forms of treatment than can be utilized with FAKTR-PM.

These include but are not limited to:
•Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Treatment •Cross Friction Massage •Myofascial Release Technique (MFR) •Assisted Mobilization • Nimmo •PIR •Various Active and Passive Stretching Techniques • PNF

This course will discuss the origin of FAKTR-PM and why one would chose to treat patients utilizing this protocol. Portions of Anatomy Trains by Thomas Meyers, Tensegrity, articles in the Spine by Barker, et al and other related literature will also be presented. Once we lay the groundwork for FAKTR-PM, we undertake 6 different areas of the body and go through them systematically including:
 Instructions on functional examinations and assessments
 Treatment with all components of FAKTR-PM
 Plenty of hands on treatment
 Theory and application of Kinesiotape
 Introduction to the use of Butler’s Nerve Flossing with soft tissue techniques.

BEST OF ALL we teach you how to use whatever tools/instruments you may already own from Gua Sha to Graston Technique ®. The areas covered include the shoulder, elbow, ankle, knee, cervical and lumbar spines. The course is 13 1/2 hours with a significant portion of hands on.

“Frankly the best course….The knowledge is applicable the next day in the clinic.
This course will change the way you look at exercise and the role of therapy…..”
